Member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury. Last surviving charter member of the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department. Member of Meyersdale Lodge No. 554 F&AM, Salisbury VFW and Salisbury American Legion. A U.S. Coast Guard veteran of WWII. He retired after operating McClure's Service Station for 50 years. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Saturday (today) and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Newman Funeral Home, Salisbury, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. David E.
