Death*September 1853 Jacob Dehaven Sr. died in September 1853 at Grantsville, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, at age 73; In 1853 Jacob had his arm torn off in a threshing machine at the barn of Jacob S. Livengood, he died the next day. "History of Somerset Co."1,2,3 
Burial*after September 1853 He was buried after September 1853 at Somerset County, Pennsylvania.1 
Note* He He moved with his parents to Somerset Co. around 1790 and then returned to Lehigh Co. in 1805 to marry his cousin Catharine Hartman. He is then listed in the Annals of Buffalo Valley in 1811 as living in White Deer twp. working as a shoemaker. From there they moved back to Somerset Co. They had 11 children altogether, seven of whom were born in Salisbury, Somerset Co., Pa. Family history has Jacob and his wife living with their daughter Catherine & John Lambert in Elk Lick Twp. until at least 1850. They say he moved to Grantsville, MD to live with his son William, where he later died.

In 1853 Jacob had his arm torn off in a threshing machine at the barn of Jacob S. Livengood, he died the next day. "History of Somerset Co."1,2,3
